SEDA celebrates 100 years at 2025 Annual Meeting

On Jan. 15, the Savannah Economic Development Authority (SEDA) kicked off the new year with its annual meeting celebrating SEDA's 100th anniversary. SEDA Board of Directors Chairperson Kay Ford welcomed the sold-out audience of more than 1,000 attendees, and SEDA President and CEO Trip Tollison led the crowd through a series of videos showcasing the accomplishments and milestones that populate the past 100 years.

Port of Savannah Achieves 11.4 Percent Growth, Port of Brunswick Up 7.5 Percent

The Georgia Ports Authority handled more than 2.8 million TEUs in fiscal year-to-date 2025 (July 1 – Dec. 31), an increase of 11.4 percent or nearly 300,000 TEUs in the Port of Savannah. In December, GPA handled more than 442,000 TEUs, an increase of 4.7 percent or 19,850 TEUs compared to December 2023.

Port of Savannah’s Ocean Terminal, Receives Four New Electric Ship-to-Shore Cranes

The Port of Savannah received four new electric ship-to-shore cranes on January 25, 2025, bringing Ocean Terminal’s fleet to eight Super Post Panamax cranes, all designed by Finland-based, Konecranes.
