GPA Trucker App Adoption Surpasses 4,000 Users

The Georgia Ports Authority reports growing adoption of its GPA Trucker mobile app, with enrollment increasing from fewer than 900 users at launch in October 2025 to more than 4,000 users today.
Designed to streamline container transactions and improve the driver experience, the app provides truckers with on-terminal container locations, digital gate transaction tickets, and real-time notifications. Drivers can view their position on terminal relative to container locations, helping reduce time spent navigating port facilities and identifying the closest gate for pickups and deliveries.
The app also replaces many paper-based processes by automatically delivering digital transaction tickets to drivers' mobile devices. Additional features include alerts related to gate operations, weather impacts, and biometric login options.
Georgia Ports officials say the enhanced visibility can help drivers avoid unnecessary trips caused by expired transaction PINs or container schedule changes.
In addition to continued app adoption, GPA is expanding the use of facial recognition technology at Garden City Terminal. Following a successful pilot program, facial recognition is now available at all inbound lanes at Gate 3 and will gradually be deployed throughout the terminal. Drivers enrolled in the system can access equipped gates without presenting their TWIC cards, although the cards must still remain in their possession while on terminal.
