Dear STC Members and Friends,

It has been a relatively quiet and certainly hot summer, but Savannah’s transportation and logistics industry hasn’t stopped moving, and neither has the Savannah Traffic Club.

As we look ahead to what we hope will be cooler fall days, I encourage everyone to mark their calendars and join us for our Scholarship Golf Tournament on September 17 at Crosswinds Golf Club. Whether you put together a foursome, register individually or support the event as a sponsor, there are plenty of ways to participate. We’re especially pleased to welcome Consolidated Chassis Management (CCM) as our Presenting Sponsor and thank them for their commitment to education, workforce development and the next generation of industry professionals.

Our Board has also been busy looking at ways to strengthen that mission. A special thank you to Board Member Bill Stankiewicz for recently giving us a firsthand look at Savannah Technical College and the impressive programs preparing students for careers in logistics, transportation, warehousing and supply chain management. As STC continues to grow its scholarship program, we’re excited to explore how we can broaden our reach and support additional educational and career pathways into our industry.

There’s plenty ahead this fall, and we look forward to seeing many of you on September 17!

The Savannah Traffic Club’s 2026 Scholarship Golf Tournament returns Thursday, September 17, at Crosswinds Golf Club, bringing together Savannah’s transportation and logistics community for a day of golf, and support for the Club’s scholarship program. Investing In Tomorrow’s Logistics Workforce

The Savannah Traffic Club recently took its commitment to education and workforce development beyond the boardroom with a working visit to Savannah Technical College. Hosted by STC Board Member Professor Bill Stankiewicz, the visit gave Board members a firsthand look at the programs preparing students for careers in logistics, transportation, warehousing and supply chain management. As STC continues to grow its scholarship program, the Club is exploring opportunities to expand support beyond traditional four-year degree programs to include technical education, certifications and skilled trades. STC Hosts Successful Lunch & Learn with CCM, New Member Partnership Initiative

The Savannah Traffic Club brought together more than 60 transportation and logistics professionals for its Lunch & Learn featuring Consolidated Chassis Management (CCM). The program celebrated five Georgia Southern University students receiving 2026 STC scholarships before turning to an informative industry presentation from CCM’s Emily Dunn, who shared insights into the evolving chassis marketplace, fleet and infrastructure investments, and operational developments across the Southeast. The event also introduced a new STC member opportunity with CCM, adding another layer of value to an afternoon centered on education, connection and investment in the future of Savannah’s logistics community.

2026 LTNA 104th National Conference Happens September 14-16 in Tacoma

The 104th LTNA Conference is coming up this September, bringing transportation and logistics professionals from across North America to the Pacific Northwest. This year’s conference will combine industry insight and networking with unique regional experiences, including a planned on-the-water tour of the Port of Tacoma. Attendees can also look forward to featured speakers, sponsor activations, meals, tours and social events—all designed to build connections across the logistics community.
